Chain-O-Lakes

Spent a quiet and relaxing time at Chain-O-Lakes Campground in Eagle River, WI this past week. We took out the paddle boards, biked and simply relaxed. No computer or even iPads.

We did drive to St. Germain to visit my Grandparents who are buried at the St. Germain Cemetary. Spent a little time doing some maintenance and remembering them.

Enjoyed a nice meal at the Nutty Squirrel along with very good Brandy Old Fashions!

We are ready for the active 55+ lifestyle again. Starting Pickleball on Sunday and Golf after Christmas. Pam is signed up for Sewing classes to use her new Brother sewing machine. She is also looking forward to starting back up in the woodshop. Kelly starts back up with his golf group on Wednesday and plans to golf in the 18-hole league on Monday’s.

Lots of improvements over the summer. They now serve beer and wine at the cafe and at the sports facilities. The grass is green and lush. very happy to be back.

This year, we moved across the street to Site 109. We think it will be nicer to have the warm evening sun setting behind the trailer.

It appears there are vacation rentals available January – March in case anyone want to come visit.

Green Bay, Wisconsin

We spent 4 days in Green Bay on our way to the UP of Michigan. We stayed at the Brown County Reforestation Camp Campground. A well-run government campground. Large sites and nice amenities.

Our first day we toured Title Town and then took the 2-hour Legendary Stadium Tour. Fantastic. We saw the entire stadium including the Visitors Locker Room, Broadcast Booth, a couple of suites and the roof. We then went out the tunnel to the field.

We watched the first half of the Packers / Bears game at Lambeau field / 1919 Kitchen & Tap. We watched the second half at the Hinterland Brewer in Title Town.
