Page Lake Powell Campground

Staying at this campground for a week. Once again, very nice location. Only 6 miles from Horseshoe Bend and 1 mile from the Glen Canyon Dam. A few miles north is Powell Lake (created by the damn).

The site is big, but basically a gravel parking lot with full hookups. The pool is closed for maintenance. The nights are quite and peaceful. Should be good for work this week.

Page Springs RV Park

This RV park has a great location. Close to Cottonwood, Prescott and Sedona. There are 4 wineries on this road. We went to 2 of them on Wednesday. Page Springs and DA Ranch. Both were great. DA Ranch has a fantastic layout with a pond and farm animals; very relaxed. We hade date night dinner at Up The Creek – a 3 minute walk up the hill. Outstanding. We highly recommend it.

The RV park is along side Oak Creek. A nice clear water creek with lots of water flow. Unfortunately, we booked late and have a very small site backed up to the road. Our site is not great for $50/night, but like they say in real estate, location, location, location – we are close to everything. Beautiful cotton wood trees and lots of birds to watch.

Verde River RV Resort

Arrived on Friday in Camp Verde, AZ. Nice Resort with grass and trees. Unfortunately, the pool and hot tub are closed. We are in Lot 142. We like the area. Went to the small town of Cotton Wood. Very cute. Had lunch at the Belfry Brewery. Had a flight of beer (again). they were all quite good and the burgers were great!

Desert Trail RV & Tucson Mountain Park

We arrived at Desert Trails RV Park outside of Tucson. Very nice adults only park. Lots of amenities. Heated pool, great laundry, food trucks every other day. All very nice.

The park is on the edge of Tucson Mountain Park which is filled with Saguaro Cacti and other great plants and animals. The park is a part of the Saguaro National Park. We learned a lot about the Saguaro. A very a 10 year old cactus is only about 1 inch tall. Some live for 200 years! We has some really great hikes every day.
