Drove to SpaceX

Greg, Rita, Pam and I drove to the SpaceX Center and Launch Pad. It is 5.3 miles from our Airstream, but 39 miles to drive. It is amazing how close we could get to the Launch Pad and SN10 (Serial Number 10). There was debris on the side of the road from the last rocket explosion from SN9. We picked up some carbon fibers. How cool is that!

We hope to go back when it is sunny later this week. SN10 may take off before we leave on March 1st. Hoping we get to see another launch.

A Sunny Sunday of Fun

We had a fun filled day. Went to the Bird Sanctuary followed by the Turtle Rescue Center. We went on a Sunset Dinner Sail followed by drinks and live music at Longboard Bar. All in all a great day.

Swing Bridge and SpaceX Launch

Had a great day today. SpaceX was planning to launch in the morning, but it kept being delayed. Bob picked me up for golf, and on our way, the swing bridge was open, so I stopped to film it closing. What a mechanical linkage.

While filming it, the rocket took off! 2:58 seconds into the video. Wow!!

Then, we had a great day of golfing with Barry and Bob.

18+ Mile Bike Ride (eBikes)

Pam and I rented eBikes today and rode for over 18 miles. We followed the entire sea wall up the coast. When we returned to town we went back to the Tree Tour and saw the sculptures we missed on Monday. Great afternoon. I think eBikes are in our future.

Pam rented this one: Interceptor Cruiser

Kelly Rented this one: City Commuter

Kelly also tried this one out: Element Fat Tire Bike

We both liked the Interceptor the best, but Kelly would go with the Fat tire bike to be able to go anywhere.
