Washing Luna Rosa

After all the miles and travels, it was time to wash out beautiful trailer. Washed the roof, solar panels, windows as well as rinsed off the bottom (underneath). Need to get the sea salt off. Looking great.

Medical Update

Had my 2 week checkup yesterday with new X-rays. Everything is looking good. My back is healing good, my back is straight and my leg strength is returning.
I cannot golf yet and need to wear my brace for another 3 weeks.
I was able to walk over 5 miles this morning walking the entire village non-stop. {CAPTION}

Medical Update – Kelly

First of all, I am doing great.

We did not tell a lot of people, but I herniated a disk in my back as Pam and I were moving out of the house; actually, a few hours before we closed on the house. Thanks to Eric Aasen, Bob Davis and Barry & Sue Boardman to help move us out and get setup at Willow River State Park.

After a couple of Emergency Room visits and an MRI, it was determined I had an extruded disk (between L3 & L4) pushing against my nerves.

After 48 hours, I had no pain and was off pain meds. But, my leg was constantly numb; I would most likely need Surgery to remove the extrusion.

So, we headed south and started looking for a Neuro Surgeon. We found Neurosurgery & Spine Consultants in San Antonio Texas. More importantly, we found Dr. Albert. He was great. After reviewing my MRI and doing some nerve tests, we decided that a Microdiscectomy was necessary. This is minimally invasive surgery that takes about an hour.

On Tuesday, December 14th, we checked into the surgical hospital at 5:30am, and before noon, we were back in our hotel room recovering. Amazing what can be done as an out patient.

Everything went perfectly, and I am doing great. If I follow instructions, there is no reason I cannot golf with Barry, Bot and Art starting in January.

Our New Home Base

We arrived in Livingston Texas and have moved our domicile here. We have registered our truck and trailer as well as getting Texas driver’s licenses and registered to vote. We are now residents of Texas. With no state income tax, we will even save a few tax dollars with my final paychecks from Syntegon :)!

Now we just need to get Cowboy Boots and Hats to make it official!

Our home base is with the Escapees RV Club, which has mail forwarding service. They collect and scan all of our mail. We can then review each piece of mail, and decide to shred, scan or forward the mail to wherever we are at the time. They also help you with setting up your domicile.

We are staying a week at their campsite in Livingston – Rainbow’s End right at the headquarters in site 117.

Our New Address:

232 Rainbow Drive #13218
Livingston, TX 77399-2032
