Labor Day Adventures

On Monday, Labor Day, we had a great group adventure! We had a 44 mile, high speed (44mph) boat ride to the village of Stehekin. The town is only accessable to boat.

We rode the Lady Liberty to Stehekin. Once there, Pam took off on a 3-1/2 hour horse ride UP the mountain to Howard Lake on her horse “Cash”. The group of 5 has a great ride and box lunch. Kelly rode a bus to 10 miles up to the High Bridge. Along the way we stopped at the old One Room School House which was in use not so long ago. We stopped at the bakery for coffee and also stopped the Buckner Orchard Homestead

Then, a group of us rode bikes down the mountain (10 miles) on bikes. Very nice. You can rent regular bike and eBike.

If you get a chance to visit Stehekin, do it. It is great.
