After leaving Glacier National Park, we drove 750 miles to the start of our caravan. The midway point was the Icefields Parkway where we could boondock in the parking lot for just over $10 USD. They have tours you can take a big vehicle out onto a number of glaciers.

We crossed the border into Canada at the Chief Mountain Crossing. Could not have been easier. Asked if we had Alcohol (which we did), Tabacco (none) and if we would be taking everything we have back with us to the USA. We said yes, and we were on our way.

As we crossed, we have put just over 3,000 miles on our RV, and we have driven the jeep over 2,000 miles seeing things. We are averaging 14.2 miles to the gallon, so that is just over 200 gallons of diesel. The dollar is strong (30%), so stuff is quite reasonably priced.

We went to the visitor’s center but did not have the energy to do much else. Just sat and had a cocktail looking at the glacier across the parking lot!
