Caravan Stop #5 – 253 Miles: Pioneer RV park in Whitehorse, YT.
We spent 3 nights in Whitehorse. The first night, we had drinks at Woodcutter’s Brewery.
On day 2, we had a group Glass Blowing event with Lumel Studios where Pam made an ornament and Kelly made a glass bowl. Super fun and we would both do it again. We will not get our works of art until we pass back through Whitehorse on our way back from Alaska.
Pam and I hiked Miles Cayon which has the Robert Lowe Suspension Bridge. We made our way out to a small rock island with a quite bench to sit and enjoy the fast-moving river down the canyon which was disturbed by a speed boat cruising down river (was actually pretty cool). We all saw a helicopter coming back from dumping water on the wild fires.
On the third day, the group took the White Pass Summit Rail and Bus Excursion to Skagway in Alaska. The train ride was great. They had Cruise Ships in the harbor and we enjoyed beer at the Skagway Brewing Company.
