On Thursday, we drove 71 miles to the Armitage Park Campground in Eugene, Oregon. This is a very nice county park. Huge sites with lots of separation.
Friday, we started our day at the Camas County Mill and Bakery. A family owned and run farm and grain mill where they produce whole grain flower the old fashion way. We had coffee and baked goods in the old schoolhouse. Sue Hunton explained the history of the farm and how they grow food. Click here to go to their online store.
Next, we stopped by the Cascades Raptor Center. A very nice non-profit organization that rehabilitates and saves birds of prey. We had a very informative presentation with 3 birds before roaming the center’s grounds.
We then went to the Ninkasi Brewery for a tour and lunch. Both were very nice. Pam and I each had a flight of 5 beers. Kelly had the Brussel spouts for lunch – Outstanding!!
