9th Anniversary

Pam and I celebrated our anniversary at Moscato Italian Restaurant in Camp Verde, AZ. Wow, what a nice place and fantastic food. We started with the “Burrata Alla Caprese” Salad. For dinner, Pam had “Pesto Genovesa ” Shrimp Pasta in a Pesto Sauce; I “Stinco de Maiale” a 48 hour braised pork shank. Both were fantastic and complimented with good wine. We finished the night with Lemon Sorbet topped with a shot of Limoncello.

Looking forward to the next 9 years and beyond with this lovely lady!

Itinerary Update

We hit 10,000 miles on the truck – it gets an oil change today.

Also, our itinerary is set through the middle of April when we will be in Utah’s Arches National Park. Kayla is planning on coming to see us there. After Arches, we plan to start heading back to Wisconsin.

eBikes on Peavine & Iron King Trails

We rented Rad Power RadMini Step-Thru eBikes to test them out and see a great trail. Overall, we went about 16 miles in 2 hours. We upgraded to Bluetooth helmets, so we could easily talk to each other – very nice.

There were 2 trails. The Peavine and the Iron King Trails. The views were great. It was a bit windy and cold, but we enjoyed it just the same.

Verde River RV Resort

Arrived on Friday in Camp Verde, AZ. Nice Resort with grass and trees. Unfortunately, the pool and hot tub are closed. We are in Lot 142. We like the area. Went to the small town of Cotton Wood. Very cute. Had lunch at the Belfry Brewery. Had a flight of beer (again). they were all quite good and the burgers were great!

Desert Trail RV & Tucson Mountain Park

We arrived at Desert Trails RV Park outside of Tucson. Very nice adults only park. Lots of amenities. Heated pool, great laundry, food trucks every other day. All very nice.

The park is on the edge of Tucson Mountain Park which is filled with Saguaro Cacti and other great plants and animals. The park is a part of the Saguaro National Park. We learned a lot about the Saguaro. A very a 10 year old cactus is only about 1 inch tall. Some live for 200 years! We has some really great hikes every day.
